The Lifeboat Ethics

You are on a lifeboat with 20 other survivors after a shipwreck. The lifeboat is designed to hold only 15, and the extra weight is causing it to slowly sink. A storm is approaching. If you do nothing, the boat will sink, and everyone will die. If you force the five weakest individuals overboard, the remaining 15 will almost certainly survive until rescue. There is no other way.
