The Historical Statue

A statue of a prominent historical figure stands in the center of your city. This person made significant positive contributions in their time (e.g., as a founder, inventor, or philanthropist), but they also held and acted on views that are now considered deeply racist and offensive. A vocal group of citizens is demanding the statue be removed, calling it a symbol of oppression. Another group insists it should stay, arguing it represents an important part of history and we shouldn't judge the past by today's standards.
