You need new clothes but have a very tight budget. You find a store selling trendy items for incredibly low prices. However, you are aware that such low prices are often made possible by companies using factories with poor working conditions and paying less than a living wage in developing countries. You cannot verify the specific conditions for these exact clothes. Do you buy the affordable clothes you need, or do you refuse to participate in a potentially exploitative system, even if it means going without?
