The Whistleblower's Dilemma
You are an engineer at a large automotive company and discover that a popular car model has a serious safety defect. Management is aware but has chosen to handle it quietly through secret settlements to avoid a costly public recall and brand damage. If you leak the documents to the press, you will save lives, but you will almost certainly be fired, blacklisted, and cause a scandal that could lead to mass layoffs of your innocent colleagues. If you stay silent, more people could be harmed or killed.
