The Experience Machine

Philosopher Robert Nozick asks you to imagine a machine that can give you any experience you desire. Neuropsychologists can stimulate your brain so that you think and feel you are writing a great novel, making a friend, or reading an interesting book. All the time you are floating in a tank, with electrodes attached to your brain. You can pre-program a lifetime of blissful experiences. If you plug in, you won't know you're in a machine; you'll think it's all real. You can plug in for life. Do you do it?
